BEFORE and AFTER. I painted it black but left a little bit of orange peeking through, dipped it in melted candle wax and spiced it in cinnamon. Touched the stem with a little more black paint and viola! You may need to dip it and spice it a couple if times.

A faux blackened beeswax candle brick I made out of recycled candle wax. I used aluminum foil to cover the inside of a bread loaf then poured melted wax in. I put it in the freezer until it hardened then took it out and painted it black. Then after the paint is dry I dip the whole thing in the melted wax, let it harden then rub it with spices. Then I drilled two holes for the candle lights. I know there are many ways to create the faux blackened beeswax effect but this worked with what I had.

Indian corn makeover. I dipped the corn into melted wax and then spiced it, I repeated the process with the husks and let them cool. Then I just used rusty wire to secure the husks to the sides of the corn by simply wrapping it around.

WHAT A CROCK! The crock on the right with the cheesecloth is actually not a crock it is just a clear glass bottle. I spray painted it black and then spray painted it with brown multi texture rustoleum, then I spiced it with cinnamon while some of the spray paint was still a little wet. Then I let the whole thing dry and waxed it with dark brown furniture wax. I buffed it to a shine and now it's a crock!
