This is how I roll - it's fool proof! The trick is to put the pan in a cold oven and then switch it on and begin your timer. I'm amazed how many people don't know this. Cook bacon in the oven. Cover cookie sheet with tinfoil first. We do 375 for about 20 min instead of 400 for ten because the lower and slower the more fat renders out. Then all the bacon is done at the same time, meanwhile you were free to make the rest of breakfast. -Martha Stewart

something I'll have to try... Add baking soda to the water when you hard boil eggs. It raises the pH of the water and makes them easier to peel by reducing the albumen's ability to stick to the shell. Nice tip!
