Prevent by buying products from organic companies not owned by big corporate. These companies have used our dollars against us and take our dollars to other countries. Keep $$$ in hands of true organic companies, local business/farmers to control food safety. Use app "Buycott" to identify foods MADE/NOT MADE by companies that paid to DEFEAT OF PROP 37.

When you buy from many corporate "organic" brands...who are you REALLY giving your money to? Tons of large companies that own organic food brands want to keep you in the dark about labeling GMOs. While the organic brands are GMO free and certified organic, many parent companies are NOT and are actively fighting for the right to not have to label their products. Don't you want to know what you're eating? Don't give your money to a company you can't trust!
some Organic Food companies are owned by the big dogs (General Mills, Coke, Kraft, etc.)
When viewing this information, it becomes much clearer as to why many ‘health food’ companies are deceiving you about the ingredients in their products. It’s time to move away from companies that have been bought up by corporations like Kraft and Coca-Cola and support independent organic brands that actually abstain from GMOs, pesticides, and hazardous additives. The fact of the matter is that these corporate giants know that people do not want to buy their health-crushing garbage anymore, and a

Every night 1 in 7 people go to bed hungry - that's almost 1 billion people worldwide. People are hungry not because there isn't enough food produced but because our food system is broken. What's wrong with our food system? Infographic (2012) by Tim Norton. Although this infographic focuses on just the subject of food production, it does have some interesting information about the lack of water in food production. The information is shown quite well visually due to the use of colours and the different ways of showing the information.

What’s wrong with our food system? Every night 1 in 7 people go to bed hungry- that’s 1 billion people worldwide. The problem is not in the amount of food in the world: there’s sufficient amount of food to feed everyone. But the problem is in distribution of the food which is not functioning properly. Another major issue is food waste. Check out this infographic to learn more about our food system. Click on the image to enlarge it.
