Crawl Space Vapor Barrier
A minimum 6-mil (0.15 mm) polyethylene vapor retarder or equivalent shall be installed to nominally cover all exposed earth in the crawl space, with joints lapped not less than 12 inches (305 mm). Minor pockets or wrinkles that prevent total drainage across the surface of the vapor retarder are allowed. The floor of the crawl space shall be graded so that it drains to one or more low spots. Install a drain to daylight or sump pump at each low spot. Crawl space drains shall be kept separate from roof gutter drain systems and foundation perimeter drains.

The cabinet doors are taped closed while the cabin is being delivered and set up.
The cabinet doors are taped closed so they won’t flap around while the cabin is being delivered and set up. They taped them with blue tape. Blue tape isn’t as sticky as other tape, so you can pull it off without damaging the surface. (If you leave blue tape on for a very long time or if it gets really hot, it will pull off paint. Good to know.)

Remediating a Crushed and Overflowing Culvert – Water rushing out where the culvert is crushed
This is the hole with the water rushing up and out of it. The culvert was there when we first bought our land. It was clogged and in some areas it was crushed and it wasn’t really working anymore. This was one of the items on our wish list that we took back off to keep the estimate affordable. We decided that it really was necessary. And it would cost a lot less now, while the equipment was here than later when they would have to bring machines back. We called Taylor and told him we really needed to go ahead and manage the culvert after all, but please help us keep this as affordable as he can.

Site Prep for our Small Modular Cabin
The trees were loaded into the truck and taken away The excavator loaded the trees. It smashed them down to fit as many as they could into the truck. As each load of gravel was spread, they filled the truck up with brush and trees and took it away. There is WAY more brush and trees than we thought.
