Smut Book Club: WALLBANGER…Came [5/5 stars]???
Wallbanger by Alice Clayton **** Banter, barbs, and strutting pussycats, plus the sexiest apple pie ever made, are dunked in a hot tub and set against the gorgeous San Francisco skyline in this hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight.
Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?
Wallbanger by Alice Clayton follows Caroline Reynolds, who has a fabulous San Francisco apartment, a design career, and great friends. But her sex life leaves something to be desired, and her neighbor's loud sex life isn't helping — until she meets him one late night in the hallway.

Mitch Albom ~ The Five People you Meet in Heaven ... GREAT book (horrible movie)
Be prepared to CRY! I thought this was a very good book, and when the movie came out, it was exactly as I pictured all the scenes would be...the colors, the images, the people...everything! Either Mitch Albom is a very good writer...or I should become a film maker!
Mitch Albom is not usually the kind of author I would read. I'm a big SF/fantasy reader. This book I picked up BECAUSE it had some aspects of fantasy I thought I might like... after all, the biggest selling fantasy/SF book in history is the Bible! The story revolves around a man who has led a very mundane life, under-achieving and under-appreciated. He has worked in a fairground. Partially the book describes his life on earth, but from the interesting perspective of Heaven. He has died and he has been transported to Heaven. The main concept of the book is to discover what Heaven might be like. Here, the hero meets five people, each of whom have had an impact on his life. It is when he talks with them that we are taken back to his life on earth. As you'd expect, this is a sentimental book. I've read two of Albom's books now (I'm also going to pin a review of the other shortly) and he is definitely a sentimentalist! Again, not the sort of thing I would normally read. However, in this book I found Albom's depiction of Heaven interesting - and much preferable to the depiction usually assigned to this mythical place. If Heaven were as Mitch Albom imagines it, I'd be on my way there (but then we all would, so what does being religious matter?). The book is fascinating whilst, as I've already said, mundane. There is nothing special about the protagonist yet the way story is constructed draws us into his life and emotions. Don't expect any deep religious meaning here, and if you're a Christian I'm sure you're idea of Heaven is very different to Albom's; but, if you enjoy a good read, and don't necessarily need a lot of action, try it.
Amazing book, love Mitch Albom
