Here's a mushroom meal I'd feel happy serving to a king. The centerpiece is Clay Pot Beef with Shaggy Parasol Mushrooms and Red Wine. Sides include fresh mashed potatoes and Chinese Pea Pods sauteed in sesame oil and Yoshida sauce with Enoki Mushrooms and Almonds. Pairs well with a nice, smooth Cabernet.

Using 2x6" outdoor wood lined with plastic, I build this bath in which to submerge my hobbyhorse oyster mushroom nursery maple logs. Submerging the logs for 24 hours stresses the shrooms and causes them to fruit.
