Math Coach's Corner: Using Number Bracelets to Develop Number Sense. This is like a mini rekenrek more than it is a bracelet, so don't make the mistake that this is just a "cutsie" little idea; this is real math!

This template displays 1 large blank number bond. It is ideal for students to use with math manipulatives, such as unifix / snap-cubes, to explore part-part-whole relationships in grades K-2.

Kindergarten Yahtzee - This game is so funny to see how excited the kids get. All they have to do is roll 2 dice and cross out the sum. They keep going until they have crossed out all of the numbers. They learn the hard way how hard it is to roll a 2 or a 12! - Shari Sloane - Educational Consultant

What a cool game for subitizing! This would make an awesome center activity for partners or even independent play.

Game of the Month: Tenzi

Color by Ten Frame! Count and color by the code! What a FUN way to work on number sense with TEN FRAMES!

FREEBIE: The common core standard K.NBT is for students to work with numbers 11-19 to gain foundations for place value. This can be tricky for kids who are just learning to count one to one objects. I suggest practicing this with real objects like unifix cubes and doing a lot of hands on modeling before giving students these practice sheets from Teacher Laura.

Acorn School- great idea to gather various objects (e.g., glass beads, marbles, etc.) and after students have sorted it, can create patterns/designs and record it in a journal.

Students partner up and have to build the longest chain they can with only one piece of construction paper. This would be great for a measurement activity

Mix 100 colours: The children were challenged to create 100 different colours. No washing your brush, just keep mixing {from TeachKidsArt}

Good addition to the car area for reviewing shapes, especially since the kids would make their car travel around the shape, reinforcing the shape through motion. Repinned by Apraxia Kids Learning. Come join us on Facebook at Apraxia Kids Learning Activities and Support- Parent Led Group.
