Tom Raworth Remembers Anselm Hollo
Finnish born poet Anselm Hollo died on January 29, 2013. He was a tremendously prolific poet, great translator and a wonderful teacher of poetry for many years, most recently at Naropa in Boulder. I published a small book of his years ago called Lunch in Fur. Droll, incisive and pithy always. So long.

It’s set in 1931, when a a West Virginia killer lures a Chicago-area widow and her 3 children in to his fatal embrace. The murders are discovered and he's arrested by authorities in the hamlet of Quiet Dell, WV. In this true-life set-up, Jayne Anne Phillips mints only a handful of fictional characters alongside the figures from history. It'll be out in October.
