    St Louis' Arch completed and building demolition. Final piece of the Arch was fitted in Oct of 1965 but didn't open to the public till 1967. I think the cranes and support braces were removed in 1966 sometime.

    Ted Drewes is a frozen custard shop. The original shop on Natural Bridge Avenue operated from 1930 to 1958. The Chippewa Street (designated as a section of historic U.S. Route 66) is open much of the year, the South Grand Boulevard location is open in summer.     This is the rotunda of the Old St. Louis Courthouse in St. Louis, Missouri, decked out for the 4th of July. The Old St. Louis County Courthouse was built in 1828 as a combination federal and state courthouse in St. Louis, Missouri. From 1864 to 1894 it was Missouri's tallest habitable building. It was designed by the firm of Lavielle and Morton, which is reported to be the first architect firm west of the Mississippi River above New Orleans.
