This would make a beautiful kitchen/dining/living space. Phase - Window walls on east and south. Kitchen on north and east. Dining/island tall enough for extra prep space. Living room area in east end.

stone walls

Possibly the most gorgeous room I've ever seen. Looks like an attic room in a cabin. The grey color scheme with the vaulted wood ceiling and stone walls is perfect.

We dream of exposed brick walls #THEOUTNET

My dream home is a loft style apartment with high ceilings, wood floors, lots of windows, and at least one exposed brick wall.

wonderful stone this house is in Montecito, California, Santa Barbara County

The stone wall, wood window and farmhouse sink with granite counter all give it an old world, French country feel. Love the window over the sink!

herringbone brick floor

Herringbone brick floor in a modern kitchen, .don't like the table. would love to have brick herringbone somewhere

Fashion designers Antoni Burakowski and Alison Roberts, aka Antoni & Alison, run their studio from their four-storey Georgian home in Southwark, London – all raw brick, exposed beams and reclaimed furniture. The house was rotten when they bought it. “The surveyors said, walk away, but we fell in love with it,” says Antoni.

Very cozy for such a large space. Design concept feels like Euro castle wine cellar stairs

Oh for this to be my stairway someday. Stairway, Pitigliano, Tuscany, Italy photo via osage

Great use of inside stone work. Much better than plain shelves and walls! (Maybe for the root cellar)

Love big block/brick in the kitchen. I would build this as the divider between kitchen and living room, with a cook stove on one side and a regular wood-burner on the other. The warmed stone would help keep the house warm long after fires were out.

My inner landscape

Old fashioned porch and Barn restored to the standard of rustic chic cottage, Moulin Bregeon in France.
