Rottnest Island, Western Australia  About 45 minutes off the coast of Perth, Western Australia, is a gorgeous tiny island known as Rottnest. Although quite popular with travelers and locals in that region, many tourists never make it there. It’s a bit off the beaten path (as is all of WA). But Rottnest is stunning. I mentioned yesterday that my husband and I ventured to the land of shrimp  and grits for a quick weekend getaway this past weekend. We are fortunate  to live just 3 hours away from Charleston, so on Saturday morning around  8:00 we hopped in the car and arrived in Chucktown by brunch. While 36  hours is a short time to spend in a town full of so much food and culture,  we packed it to the brim by visiting some of our favorite spots and  exploring some new to us side streets and restaurants…
