Read Together: One Subject, All Ages
One theme made fun for all ages with books, crafts, cooking and more. Let's jump in with bees!
Robert's Giant Paper Flowers - YouTube This tutorial shows you how to make the beautiful paper flowers that brightened our library bee display. Our youngest friends will need some help to make these (video uses hot glue, although standard glue would work with some patience), but check out the picks on this board to see just how fun the results can be. After all, your pom-pom bees will need some flowers for food!
We used this pom-pom bee in our library display (although here she's taking a trip to our reading garden). She is super easy to make. Just follow the pom-pom instructions that we pinned to make two yellow pom-poms and one black pom-pom, then tie them together. For the antennae, we tied a piece of black yarn around the center of a yellow pom-pom, then put knots in the ends. Although this project could be fun for many ages, please remember that it could be a choking hazard for very young children.
