This photo shows a cap cloud clinging to the cone of Concepcion Volcano was taken from a ferry in Lake Nicaragua, Nicaragua. Concepcion Volcano is an active stratovolcano standing approximately 1 mi (1,610 m) above the lake's surface. It has erupted 25 times in the past 130 years. The Concepcion and Maderas Volcanoes comprise the dumbbell shaped Ometepe Island, situated near the center of Lake Nicaragua. Photo taken on October 12, 2012.

"Double Falls" by Sean Bagshaw ~ Actually called Triple Falls in Glacier National Park. In the fall the water flow tapers leaving just two main cascades. This image recently spent some time in the spotlight as part of a tourism campaign by the state of Montana. It was published in about 10 different magazines including Smithsonian, National Geographic Traveler, Outside and Backpacker.

At this location in the sinuous canyon the distance from the bottom to the top is about 33 ft (10m). Antelope Canyon snakes through Navajo sandstone, across the high desert of far northern Arizona, for roughly 5 mi ( 8km).
