The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Played this vinyl album until it was too scratchy to listen to any more. Quite possibly the greatest album cover of all time.
Jimi Hendrix, Are you experienced?***** (1967): Sometimes there are artists who transcend any and all genres. The Beatles are one such band. Prince is one such artist. Hendrix sits among these and other transcendent artists. He incorporated blues, jazz, rock, psychedelia, and so much more to make this wonderful musical stew of influences and influence. Simply one of the best guitar albums of all time. (4/2814)

'Are You Experienced' - The Jimi Hendrix Experience (cover art - US version, Reprise, 1967). Jimi wasn't happy with the UK cover, wanting something more psychedelic. Karl Ferris provided for the US version, with a fish eye lense and infrared technique imagining "a group travelling through space in a Biosphere on their way to bring their unworldly space music to earth." It was a two-day photo shoot in Kew Gardens; the image used was the first shot taken. Photography: Karl Ferris. #jimihendrix

Santana Abraxas -- Simply one of the greatest music albums of all time. Unique, ground-breaking, great from first track to last.
Santana's Abraxas: 1 of my 1st "albums!" "Black Magic Woman" defines my Freshman year in high school. "O ye como va," anyone?
Abraxas, Santana - "Black Magic Woman," the Top Five hit from Abraxas, is definitive Santana: Afro-Latin grooves and piercing lyrical psychedelic blues guitar. It was a cover of a Fleetwood Mac song written by one of Carlos Santana's guitar heroes, Peter Green. The album's other hit was also a cover: Tito Puente's "Oye Como Va."
Santana - Abraxas: One of those album covers you could spend hours trying to find hidden meanings.

Released in August 1970 on Reprise Records, it was one of the four high-profile albums released by each member of folk rock collective Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in the wake of their chart-topping 1970 album Déjà Vu. Gold Rush consisted mainly of country folk music, along with the rocking "Southern Man".

Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album by the English progressive rock group Pink Floyd, released in September 1975. Low was a 1977 breakthrough album by David Bowie, which contained avant-garde tracks rich with experimental synthesizers and unique compositional approaches. The album was co-produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and is considered the first of Bowie’s “Berlin Trilogy” along with Heroes later in 1977 and Lodger in 1979. All three of these albums were collaborations with composer Brian Eno.
