Texas Horny Toad (horned lizard) We used to catch these in west Texas at my cousins' house. If you flip 'em over and rub their little tummies, they go to sleep. Yes, they really do shoot blood out of their eyes as a defense!

The Alamo has come symbolize the efforts men will take to overcome tyranny and make a stand on a belief, even if it's a stand to the death. On March 6, 1836, more than 257 men died in the Alamo. They died in the pursuit of Texan Independence. Though many more of Mexican army died than Texans, the death of the men at the Alamo served as a rally cry for the rest of Texans, who handily defeated the Mexican Army at San Juacinto on April 21, 1836.The Alamo is the most popular tourist site in Texas.
