This may be the only photograph of Half Yellow Face, pipe carrier for Custer’s six Crow scouts. Sharon Small, curator at the battlefield museum, said the man wearing that cavalry coat may have been the leader of the scouts. He was killed two years after the Little Bighorn battle.
