Reminds me of a doe we have in our back woods. She had twins and another doe in her group had twins, the one doe died and the other adopted the two orphans so she was nursing 4 fawns! Sure were cute to watch though. I hope to see them again this year.

Maremma with a little fawn. A display of their Shepherding nature. They see their role in life as the protector of the flock...whatever that 'flock' may be that they are put in charge of. They take their role very seriously. Bless their beautiful hearts.
One of my greatest joys in life is rehabilitation fawns to re-integrate into the wild..now my "baby" doe has had fawns twice on her own now, and it brings me no amount of joy to have helped in my own small way the tapestry of life continue.
