Julia Child on David Letterman. I know her shows were not meant to be comedic but there were times I almost wet my pants watching her. Especially the one where she made home made English muffins, in her words, using cat food tins. Oh my, that one I could have used some Depends for.

Julia Child: Pioneer of television, and of American cooking and cuisine, saving us from ourselves and over-processed food. Not afraid to feed David Letterman raw ground beef lightly toasted with a propane torch (when the electric burner died). How can you not love her?
Julia Child's 100th Birthday! August 15, 1912-August 13, 2004 I watched "The French Chef" as a new bride to learn gourmet cooking. She inspired me to become a great cook. At a book signing I was a nervous wreck. But, I knew I had to have a small conversation with her. All I could think of was, "why do my blind baked pie shells shrink?" She told me how to fix it. She was tall with beautiful blue eyes. She changed the way we cook and the face of cooking shows. Thank you, Julia, for everything!
