Bake marbles at 300 for 20 minutes, then immediately drop into a bowl of ice water. The insides crack, making them look like gems! Did it. Turns out great.

I love this idea as a gift for a little girls dress up birthday party. You can create your own marble pendents by cooking the marbles in a hot oven.

Learned this on Pinterest and tried it today! Heat oven to 500 degrees and put some marbles (you can put clear colored or clear with color in the middle) and heat for 20 mins...longer is OK but no better... After, put them in a bowl of cold water. I used a regular ceramic bowl and was afraid of shatter but nothing! It just cracks inside and creates GORGEOUS sparkles! Kids loved it and soooooo easy! Give it a try!

I remember doing "Fried Marbles" back in the 60's with my late Aunt. We added them to candles. So pretty.
