Since her death in 1979, the woman who discovered what the universe is made of has not so much as received a memorial plaque or obituaries mention her greatest discovery…Everyone knows Charles Darwin discovered evolution and Albert Einstein discovered the relativity of time. But when it comes to the composition of our universe, textbooks simply say the most abundant atom in the universe is hydrogen. And no one ever wonders how we know? Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin, a truly extraordinary woman.

We have always known Mother Teresa as an old wrinkled woman. This is a pic of a beautiful 18 year old Mother Teresa.

This photo is from an early 1964 television broadcast when she thanked the American people "for the nearly 800,000" notes of condolence that she and the children received after the death of President Kennedy. She acknowledged every note personally, and it took her 10 years to complete.

And then she moved on to a quieter life and that was enough for her.

Things in perspective. Glad somebody made this, because all those silly teen posts annoy me. Our troops don't get enough recognition as it is and they have one of the hardest jobs out there and most do it without complaining. Thanks to the soldiers, sailors, marines, and air men!
