neat rewards system...31 quarters in the jar at the beginning of the month, every day that they do not do their chores, they lose a quarter. Whatever is left at the end of the month they exchange for cash and the quarter jar is refilled. We decided not to do "allowance" for chores, but rather teach chores/responsibilities as how they contribute to our family. If they don't contribute, they don't have privileges.

Write sight words on the flat part of the bubblewrap and when they read the word correctly, they got to pop the bubble! It was sight word recognition and an occupational therapy/finger strengthening activity. You could do letter recognition, number recognition, math facts, etc.

What a great list for young readers (boys) of around the 6-15 year mark. (Give or take) Trev's read quite a few of these, but there are a handful that we haven't heard of that I must soon order and add to our list of reads. Great list, also read the comments under the list because some other parents added some great ones that were not on the list of 40.
