Have you heard of the Alert Program®? It helps kids become more self-aware and gives them the tools they need in order to regulate their bodies. Make a meter for your child's engine, and ask them, "how is your engine running?" Here is a very basic overview: "too low" means they are tired or bored, "too high" means they are excited or too silly, and if they are in the "just right" zone that means they are in control of their body and ready to listen and learn! #classroommanagement #selfregulate
