Choc Chip Maraschino Cherry Shortbread cookies: Cream 1 C butter and ½ C powdered sugar. Add 2 C flour, ½ t salt, add 1 C chopped Maraschino cherries, ½ C white or choc chips, ½ t vanilla. Form dough in shape you want, wrap in plastic and chill for 1 hour min. slice ¼ inch. Place on parchment paper 1 inch apart. Bake 325 for 10 – 15 min. slightly brown.

Italian Almond/Amaretto (or Anisette) Cookies w/ Icing
Italian Almond Cookies with Icing. Very yummy, especially if you like almond flavoring! I rolled the dough into balls, which made them look nicer and smoother. Used a pastry brushing to paint the icing on...had to add a little more milk to the icing to get it the right consistency.
