Despite all this continued summer heat, we still have high quality #blueberries to pick because we are irrigating properly with drip irrigation, which not only conserves water, but also gives each #blueberry bush the water it needs. Might be a shorter than usual #NJ blueberry season this year, because all of this non-stop heat is making the blueberries ripen much faster than normal.

Homemade blueberry wine made by one of our happy pick your own blueberry farm customers. Their whole entire family loves blueberry picking in the NJ Pine Barrens at DiMeo Farms. They come every summer and make all kinds of blueberry treats from scratch, including blueberry brandy and in this case blueberry wine with his daughter’s picture on the label, since she picked the fresh heirloom Jersey blueberries in season, along with the rest of her family from South Jersey, North Jersey and New York.
