Here is a before and after of my weekend project. Refurbing two chairs we had sitting in the garage for years that belonged to matts great grandma. Had to replace everything down to the webbing and foam which was completely powdered. Now we have 2 beautiful black velvet chairs
(I just like this black dresser with mirror) How to Paint Wooden Furniture - pinning this because I used all her tips to paint a bookcase and entertainment center. I was so afraid of stains...but was afraid painting my furniture might ruin it too. If you follow these steps you won't ruin your furniture and my favorite part - you will still see the wood grain!
Need to remember this!! Tired, battered furniture suddenly seems hip and edgy with a coat of matte black (gloss finishes, on the other hand, draw attention to any small imperfections, such as chips and nicks). We like Benjamin Moore's Ben Waterborne Interior Paint, which is a low-VOC, 100-percent acrylic latex (ideal for painting furniture) in a flat finish in Universal Black.
Okay, technically, this could go in Holidays. And also, I'm starting to realize i need a "Furniture pieces" board. Anywho, I love both the wreath hung with black and white striped ribbon AND the gorg black curio!
