Climate Change Facts in Arizona: 1. Temperatures have risen by almost two degrees F in the past several decades, faster than any other state in the lower 48 states, and is predicted to continue to increase sharply to another 3-5 degrees F. 2. The quality of their air and water are suffering. The high water temperatures and minimal river flows puts them more at risk to raise water pollution concentrations.
Climate Change facts in Arizona CONTINUED: 3. Arizona has been suffering from from the worst drought in a century, in just the past decade. This has caused more frequent wildfires and it will continue to do so if there are trees and vegetation to burn. 4. WITNESS #2 Jaime Lynn Butler is a 12 year old girl from Arizona. Jaime is concerned with climate change specifically water scarcity. She has been dealing with the droughts and it is effecting her family garden. Although she is only 12 years old Jaime is fighting for a change, she started a petition for the president to sign in order to help with the climate crisis.
