Metal Protector The same carnauba paste wax that maintains a car’s finish does a dynamite job on painted metal furniture. Once a season, apply an even coat with a damp terry cloth towel to furnishings; let dry, then lightly buff with a soft cotton rag. The wax will repel water, preventing rust, and also restore luster to dull paint

Flower Basket Chandelier DIY - turn 2 wire frame flower baskets, pipe cleaners, and white lights into a cool glowing chandelier that can be used year-'round. Don't know if it will happen this year, but last year, Dollar Tree had the baskets. (hint, hint)

Lemongrass: Repels fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. Plant in pots and place on your porch or patio. Plus, it's a tall/wide grass--cheap way to fill out the edges of the porch!

Turn big cans and cheap metal pots into easy and almost free planters (depending on whether you buy riverstones or find them). I'd use sanded grout, tho. I'd also buy sealer for this.

Shoji Style Solar Lamp--definitely a more fashionable take on the solar jars. I think I'd use frames and frost the glass because I'm not this handy. ^^

Great use of color! ♥ I've been contemplating rug ideas for my patio, and this one took the prize...gonna paint a dropcloth with stripes and lay that down. Add greenery, hang plants and glass, and I need furniture! Final touch--curtains on EMT pipe for privacy! What a great idea!

saw it as a store display. Love it as a privacy screen idea on the patio! If you use silk flowers outside, don't forget to spray them.

reed covering and wood floors--it's so perfect. But, I pinned because of the EMT pipes and curtains, which could still be canvas dropcloths.

OK, I keep thinking that, if I could mount it without doing damage, a patio hammock like this would be too cool! Maybe I'll find a right-sized trampoline for the deck instead. 0.0"

The back wall looks like stained and polyurethane-covered pallets, and that's what intrigued me. The whole balcony is warm just because of this "cheap" wood!

I think this is the one thing I've learned from my patio pins--I want to put trees/big potted plants on the deck, not multiple pots.

Water + a penny keeps flies away. I'm wondering if you could actually use some sort of water globe or jar or something more decorative and get the same effect? Just...I'd probably stick with something closed so the mosquitoes don't breed in the water. What if you used glass globes from the Dollar Tree and topped them with a votive candle holder to close it and then hung them from cord, for instance?
