Reminder Labels: Just stick them on students' t-shirts before they go home, or add the stickers to students' planners or take-home folders. It's much easier (and cuter!) than printing notes on paper that will likely get lost in the shuffle...

I would add to this list: No matter what the age of your reader, even older kids, use your finger as you read the words. For kids who don't "get it," seeing this done again and again helps to get across that what you are saying is related to what you see on the page, word by word. This is a crucial step that lots of kids miss early on, and causes a lot of delay and trouble. Good luck!
