You can fill a feeder with simple sugar syrup – but never use honey, brown sugar, artificial sweeteners or food colourings. To mix your own syrup, mix one-quarter to one-third cup of granulated sugar with one cup of water. Bring to boil and let cool before filling your feeder. The more feeders you provide, the happier hummingbirds will be!

Another pinner: We are Ranch snobs at our house....no bottled Ranch-yuck here! This is the BEST HOMEMADE RANCH!! This tastes exactly like the Hidden Valley Ranch Packets that you add mayo and milk to....but WITHOUT the MSG and at A FRACTION OF THE PRICE! If my kids can't tell the difference when they dipped their carrots...no one will! Delish!

"My grandma taught me this many years ago. Refreshing towels I use this trick all the time since I noticed my towels smelling funky. It works! - Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelly. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and 1cup vinegar, then a 2nd time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again. Works like a charm!" Gotta try...

You can use HYDROGEN PEROXIDE to get rid of armpit stains, to clean cookie sheets, as a miracle cleaner in your kitchen and bathroom, and to make your own “oxi clean”. This stuff is amazingly versatile!

This long-forgotten gem of a cleaning agent may be used with a little water or vinegar to lift even the most stubborn stains. Unattractive grout driving you batty? Mold and mildew stains got you reaching for the Prozac? Burner pans and casserole dishes giving you fits? Cream of Tartar is your new best friend.
