Teisco / D.O.C. DUAL004LP. Another insight into the mysterious world of library-outsider Teisco. Recording here under the name, Rimauri, he has refined his mutant electro–punk style into a new synthetic framework. This set of 80s library music conjures up instant thoughts of vintage computer game music but it’s the weirdness of the mix and the interjection of unexpected phrasing and patterns that makes this like no other library music. Steve Maxwell Von Braund / Monster Planet. DUAL001LP. Praised by Tangerine Dream and legions of Krautrockers, Monster Planet is an early example of visionary electronic experimentation. A 1975 recording from one- half of the infamous Australian Kosmische duo, Cybotron. Circling between that classic Krautrock motorik beat, and a different, cosmic jazz fluidity, Von Braund creates an antipodean mutant masterpiece akin to classic German Head music such as Amon Duul, Popol Vuh and Ash Ra Temple.
