Cormac McCarthy- The Road Reading list.
Amazon.com: The Road (Oprah's Book Club) (9780307387899): Cormac McCarthy: Books
Cormac McCarthy is one of the best writers I have read. But his subject matter is quite dark. The Road (this is the book, I have not watched the movie) is about a post-apocalyptic North America. A father and son are walking from the middle of the country to the coast to see if they can find a community that is better. They follow The Road, full of marauding bands and cannibals because it is their last hope. This not a happy book, but it is beautifully and almost poetically written.
The Road by Cormac McCarthy, one of my favorite books of all time. (not sure why, it's quite depressing)
The Road -- Must read!
The Road; Cormac McCarthy worth reading

A Street Cat Named Bob, James Bowen
James Of Arci, Worth Reading, James Bowen, Bobs De, Gingers Cats, Book Worth, Street Cats, Streetcat, True Stories
A Street Cat Named Bob is the most heart-warming true story about how author, James Bowen nursed an abandoned cat back to health whilst battling homelessness and a heroin addiction. In the midst of their struggles they find purpose, hope, and each other.
A Streetcat Named Bob - James Bowen
A Street Cat Named Bob "James Bowen's A Street Cat Named Bob tells the author's story of how, when he was living hand to mouth on the streets of London, the last thing he needed was a pet. But when he found an injured ginger cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he couldn't resist helping. "
Bob de straatkat - James Bowen
Underappreciated and surprisingly engaging, I found it quite difficult to put The Last Crossing down. Who knew the West could be this much fun? Gritty, occasionally gruesome, and definitely gripping. The ending was not what I expected, but perhaps that is a point in the author's favour.

The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston. A gripping true crime story.
Nonficition. Follows the hunt for a serial killer in Italy - many of the players later appear in the Amanda Knox trial. Gives a interesting look into Italian police and judicial systems - not the least bit favorable.
The Monster of Florence: Douglas Preston, Mario Spezi: The Monster of Florence: Douglas Preston, Mario Spezi: The Monster of Florence: Douglas Preston, Mario Spezi: Great book, a true story! Italian Stupidity! I have no desire anymore to own anything Italian, to buy Italian wine, to visit Italy, or to speak Italian. Note: Spaghetti is an Asian, not Italian, invention.
hmm, seems interesting! "definitely read this before going to italy. not only a scary true story, but know about the italian justice system as well. it's equally as scary" might need to add to my summer reading list!

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett; Such a fabulous book! I was pulled into the story from the first pages. Honestly, one of my favorite books. The TV miniseries was amazing as well. I recommend both.
The Pillars of the Earth- love love love KenFollett
I listened to the audio version of this book. Was it ever worth it! Pillars was captivating. The characters were relatable and weaved together into an intricate web that spans a generation. I found myself tearing up at times, shaking my head in disgust, cursing under my breath (and out loud sometimes) in frustration and gasping in suspense. A Book Worth Reading!
