He watched as a small group of five gnomes approached.     At the head of the group was the tallest gnome who just might have been an inch over three feet. He had the longest beard and deepest wrinkles. Reaching the area where Goss stood he looked up and offered a large smile.     “Well,” the gnome said, his voice high pitched and raspy. “We weren’t expecting guests.”
