Remarkable Portraits Made with a Single Sewing Thread Wrapped through Nails by Kumi Yamashita

Constellation is an ongoing series of portraits by New York artist Kumi Yamashita known most prominently for her innovative light and shadow sculptures. Each image is constructed from a single unbroken black thread wound through a dense array of galvanized nails mounted on a painted white board, meaning that the darker areas within the portrait are formed solely from the density of the string. Colossal is no stranger to artworks created with thread and nails, but these are certainly some of the most impressive and intricate works I’ve ever seen made using this method. Wine Stain Portraits by Amelia Fais Harnas - wish I were this artistic :/
More Red Wine Art by artist Amelia Fais Harnas. Made by staining fabric with red wine using a wax resist. Rest assured, she drinks the wine while she works! Prints can be purchased here: http://www.trulyamelia.com/
Wine stain and embroidery portraits by Amelia Fais Harnas: "A portrait artist at heart, I am particularly intrigued by the challenge of trying to control the unpredictable nature of wine bleeding through fabric in order to channel the equally imprecise nature of a person’s character. In addition, the sacred aspect of wine lends itself to religious iconography."
Great digital art by Alberto Seveso.

Underwater macro photography: titled “a due Colori,” the photos feature two different colors of ink, swirling in rich plumes of color around each other - Alberto Seveso
Italian graphic designer and illustrator Alberto Seveso released another mesmerizing collection of underwater ink photographs. The images were made by taking high-speed photographs of ink mixing with water, but unlike the previous times, the artist mixed two colors and titled his new series ‘a due Colori’.
this is underwater ink art, alberto seveso, but I want a scarf in these colors! Or a sweater, or a t-shirt...
