Zinnia Blossoms Afghan Release!
Hello! I am so excited to finally get to share with you guys a crochet pattern that I've been sitting on for months now, the Zinnia Blossoms Afghan! It's featured in the Spring 2021 issue of Interweave Crochet and is one of my favorite projects I've ever made. (Including knitting and everything!) This was such a happy project to work on not only thanks to the joy of having a published pattern again (it's been awhile, lol) and free yarn to make it with, but because I secretly worked on it…
Jumping in on @bostonjen1's Mark It Monday theme...
I'm a few inches into the second sock of this pair. I started this one early last week (??) but haven't gotten to work on it as much as I was wanting to. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it by this weekend so I'll have a finished pair to share with you next Monday! (And add to my Pigskin Party yardage!) Pattern is Sip of Bobbly Socks by @yumiyarns (part of the Indie Sock-a-Long 2021, linked in profile) Yarn is the Curry colorway from @SuburbanStitcher
Double Crochet Bobble Tutorial
Today we'll be learning how to make a Double Crochet Bobble. (This one is actually the same in both UK and US crochet terminology!) This is a fun variation of a US Double Crochet (UK Treble Crochet). It has a few more loops on your hook before finishing the stitch which makes it wider, but not higher than a normal Double Crochet. This is what gives it it's fun shape. If you were with me for last week's tutorial, you'll notice that the Bobble is very similar to a Puff Stitch, just a bit…
Do you know who the featured Indie Dyer for April is?
This Saturday is launch day for the next pattern in the Indie Sock-a-Long so I thought I'd give you a bit of a teaser while you're waiting for the new pattern and a way to (kind of) meet the dyers ahead of time also! Visit YumiYarns.com to find the answer, see some of their beautiful yarns knit up & get connected with them! #indiesockalong2021 #indiesockalong #indiedyerlove
Crochet Puff Stitch Tutorial
Today we'll be learning how to make a Crochet Puff Stitch. (This one is actually the same in both UK and US crochet terminology!) This is a fun variation of a US Half-Double Crochet (UK Double Crochet). It has a few more loops on your hook before finishing the stitch which makes it wider, but not higher than a normal Half-Double Crochet and this is what makes it "puff" out a bit!
Tutorial: Us Treble Crochet
This is our fourth week of a nine-week series on beginning crochet and the basic stitches used in the Zinnia Blossoms Afghan. Today we'll be learning how to make a US Treble Crochet Stitch. (In UK crochet terminology this same stitch is called a Double Treble Crochet Stitch.) This is one of the most fundamental stitches in crochet and creates a stitch height that, as you might assume, is taller than a double crochet and is the tallest of the basic crochet stitches.

Saltwater Tides Pattern Release!
Hello! How could these socks not be inspired by the ocean when they’re made from such a lovely mermaid-themed colorway from Rising Tide Fiber Company?! Chevrons mimic the waves lapping at the shore and if you look closely, you can spot the mythical mermaids waving their tails at you between the crests. Depending on if you knit them cuff-down or toe-up, the mermaids will either be swimming up your legs (cuff-down) or diving down towards your toes (toe-up). The pattern includes variations for…
