Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired table by Jesse Dresbach, owner of the furniture-restoration shop Nine Red. We’ve featured some of Jesse’s skilled restoration work in the past, but this may be my new favorite — the combination of the ultra-dark espresso stain with the rich, earthy color palette is wonderful, and the pattern is a worthy homage to the talented architect and designer who inspired it.
It's from the Amsterdam home of Leslie Oschmann (owner of Swarm). After looking at it closer, I thought something like this would be fairly simple to re-create, and probably fairly fun too for a weekend project! I think the trick here is the black and white, painting one area black and then splattering the black onto the white à la Jackson Pollock–style.
