Recently downsized into a condo and the only place for our chest freezer was in the foyer. I designed the cabinet, and a local cabinet shop built and painted it for me. I added knobs and then darkened it with brown glaze, threw on a few decorative items and hung a mirror. I love my new foyer chest and hope that my idea will help anyone else needing to disguise an useful but otherwise ugly appliance.
"I needed a bar unit to hold some stemware, liquor, and wine. While my new place has tons of vertical space (3 meter high ceilings), I didn't have a lot of floor space in my dining nook. Therefore, I decided a tall, vertical rack would be best. When I was unable to find one that suited me, I decided to make one out of a few parts from Ikea.
