Tulle: This skirt is made of tulle (at least mostly). Tulle is a fine netting, the most common variety is rayon or nylon but very fine version are made of silk. Depending on the particular weave and fiber, tulle can be very stiff or very soft and drapey. It takes many layers of tulle to become opaque so it is often lined. The most common uses of tulle are for evening wear and veiling, but streetwear versions of ballerina tutus made of tulle are often seen.
