The company’s story began with two hard-working Egyptian brothers, Mohamed and Mahmoud El-Nawawy. El-Nawawy brothers established El-Nawawy for Oil & Seeds company in 1971. Later, El-Nawawy brothers began to work with the flax fibers. They started with the processing and trading of locally grown raw flax fibers. With time, the business focus began shifting towards spinning flax fibers into yarn and twine. It was a natural transition given the company’s experience with flax products.
