Matrona, a full-size marble statue of an idealized woman, heavily draped and modestly wearing the strapped, floor-length stola of the married Roman woman. Her hairstyle suggests a date in the late century BCE/early century CE.
Herculeneum woman. Athens, National Archaeological Museum, 2009 It is a funerary marble statue, a copy made in the 2nd century B.C. of a famous original dated from about the 300 B.C. She wears a full-length chiton and a himation that covers the entire body and arms. It was found on Delos.
