Poor Pluto... It's still a planet in my book! :)
The first age of solar system exploration is in the books. NASA's New Horizons probe flew by Pluto this morning (July 14), capturing history's first up-close looks at the far-flung world — if all went according to plan. (Mission team members won't declare success until they hear from New Horizons tonight.) Closest approach came at 7:49 a.m. EDT (1149 GMT), when the spacecraft whizzed within 7,800 miles (12,500 kilometers) of Pluto's frigid surface. To celebrate, NASA unveiled the latest photo
As NASA's New Horizons spacecraft flew by and beyond Pluto on Tuesday (July 14), it carried with it the ashes of the American astronomer who discovered the dwarf planet in 1930. Now, the mission's science team has further memorialized Clyde Tombaugh by giving Pluto's prominent heart-shaped feature his name.
New images of Pluto, taken by NASA's New Horizons space probe, dominated the news cycle this week.

Pink News: Nov. 11, 2014 - More straight people than gay people being diagnosed with HIV in Kent, Great Britain
“What we’re seeing is a mutated conglomeration of previously recognized Sexually Transmitted Infections coming together to form something entirely new. Something the medical community has never seen before… Similar to the advent of what is commonly known as “Super AIDs” this new virus is born from the excessive genetic cross-breeding of previously existing STIs.
HIV has big hiding place, foiling hopes for cure
New, aggressive HIV strain causes AIDS faster - Discovered in West Africa faster progression to AIDS Called A3/02, is a fusion of the two most common HIV strains in Guinea-Bissau.
The cure for HIV is right around the corner. All it will take is permanently mutating our immune system for generations to come. Not a big thing.
A claim circulating online states that a new STD has emerged from Portland, Oregon. It's not true.

We owe our understanding of biology to lab rats, they helped us understand ourselves, improve our health and extend our lives. But now, scientists want to make lab testing in animal models something from the past by creating computerized models. To honor their contribution to science, this monument was created to commemorate lab rats used for DNA research, Novosibirsk, Russia
A statue in Akademgorodok (Novosibirsk, Russia) depicting a mouse knitting the DNA double-helix. The sculpture reflects on the relationship between the scientists and the lab mice that make their research possible.
The Mutter Museum in Philadelphia Was originally opened in the 1900s for medical students to come and see in person ;extremely rare conditions, and the effects of diseases that had been cured or eradicated. It still stands today as the best place for medical students to get " hands on" experience . As well as a popular attraction for locals and tourists alike.I WILL go here on day.

Evolution. bahahahaha ah, funny
Evolution - its everywhere and everything. Evolution is change! And change is the only thing we know to be absolutely true! If there was no change, you wouldn't grow from an egg to a baby, to a child, to an adult. To deny evolution, is to deny change. And that is insane. Dumbass!

Back in the year 2000, an incredible meteorite weighing 2,211 pounds was discovered near Fukang, a city located in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, China. Named the Funkang meteorite, it was identified as a pallasite, a type of stony–iron meteorite. With 4.5 billion years in the making, its golden olivine mixed with silvery nickel-iron to create a stunningly beautiful mosaic effect.

A slice of the Fukang meteorite - so beautiful! When it slammed into the surface of Earth, there was little sign of the beauty that lay inside. But cutting the Fukang meteorite open yielded a breathtaking sight. Within the rock, translucent golden crystals of a mineral called olivine gleamed among a silvery honeycomb of nickel-iron. | Fukang Meteorite: Discovered in 2000, in the Gobi Desert in China's Xinjiang Province. It is a pallasite; a type of iron meteorite, quite rare, made out of large olivine crystals in an iron-nickel matrix. Olivine is a magnesium iron silicate, quite common in our planet’s subsurface, but which weathers fast when exposed to the surface. Pallasites are extremely rare, (only about 1% of all meteorites). Slices from the Fukang mass, as in this photo, are reminiscent of stained glass windows.

Article: 50 Year old Bottle Garden: Still going strong ~`*`~ Pictured is pensioner David Latimer (from Cranleigh, Surrey) with a bottle garden that planted 53 years ago. He watered it once - in 1972 - and the bottle has remained sealed ever since. The plant has succeeded in creating it's own miniature ecosystem, and has thrived without any outside intervention for over 50 years.
David Latimer from Cranleigh, Surrey, with his bottle garden that was first planted 53 years ago and has not been watered since 1972 - yet continues to thrive in its sealed environment. The bottle garden has created its own miniature ecosystem. Despite being cut off from the outside world, because it is still absorbing light it can photosynthesise, the process by which plants convert sunlight into the energy they need to grow. The ultimate terrarium!
Dude looks like "Check out my big old jar of weed!" LOL Completely sealed bottle garden that was first planted 53 years ago and has not been watered since 1972.
Amazing 53 Year Old Sealed Bottle Garden Hasn’t Been Watered in 40 Years! 53 years ago in 1960, David Latimer planted a bottle garden and only watered it once, and in 1972 and sealed it up. He periodically moves it so it can receive more light from a nearby window so it grows more evenly. The bottle garden is basically a completely self sufficient miniature ecosystem.
This bottle garden is a self-contained ecosystem and has not been opened to the outside world (save for sunlight passing through the glass) for more than 40 years! It produces its own oxygen, consumes carbon dioxide produced by rotting leaves and bacteria in the soil, even has its own water cycle.
