Bonfire Night: Guy Fawkes fireworks displays in London, Lewes, Manchester and across the UK

Guy Fawkes' Catholic Gunpowder Plot - an attempt to blow up England's Houses of Parliament and Protestant King James I on November 5th 1605 - left an enduring legacy in England, though clearly not the one Fawkes had hoped for. Celebrated annually as Guy Fawkes Night/Bonfire Night throughout Great Britain over 400 years later.
