Isn't this the truth. :) no mother is perfect, mine or myself included....but I've chosen to not let any hard times we may have had define our relationship. Instead I choose to spend the rest of my days and hers, loving her, respecting her, and cherishing her until the day she's called home. I love my mom. :)<3
My daughter recently posted this meme on her own Facebook page. It speaks to a question that was raised by some moms in our support group last night... those who have adult children in early recovery: "When will we hear those amends promised by recovery? When will they say, 'so sorry, Mom?'" I think this is a great answer.
Because your children are still your children, your prayers will always have impact in their lives. You may no longer be able to tell them what to do, but you can sure tell the enemy what to do. ~ Stormie Omartian
