I can't wait to try ALL of these place value activities and games in my math centers! There are so many ideas for how to teach place value, I'm just going to have a hard time choosing which to try first!
Originally found on Kidscount1234. It's called, Clear the Board, & covers skills such as counting & probability. The object of game is simple... Students place 10 cubes on the #s they predict they will roll.. Students take turns rolling two dice. If they roll a # that they have covered, they take the cube off that #. Students keep on playing until someone has removed all their cubes from their game board.

Equivalent Fractions Race - Directions: Roll 2 dice and create a proper fraction. If you roll 2 of the same number, roll 1 die again. Now let your partner roll the dice and create his fraction. Once both players have a fraction, you will race to see who can write all of the equivalent fractions first.
Prime Numbers Game: deal cards to 2-4 players -> each player flips first card in their stack -> players look at all stacks-> first player to slap stack that contains prime # gets all cards in that stack. could use this for spotting factors of given number as well.
