Golden Temple, Amritsar India - This Sikh Temple is covered in gold and looks like it is floating in the middle of a lake. It's beautiful when the sunset reflects off the gold. I had the amazing opportunity to visit with a Sikh friend who explained everything to me!

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, India (also known as the Harmandir Sahib) is a sacred temple to Sikhs and was built in the 15th century.


You're suppose to bathe in the water around it(it's a pool) for a spiritual cleansing, walk the premise, and you can walk in the temple(not typically in that order). They also have free food for everyone! AND, AND! There is no caste system there!!!
