In London, according to the Los Angeles Times, a coroner’s inquest found that Amy Winehouse’s death was “death by misadventure.” The singer, who passed in July 2011, was found with too much alcohol in her system, specifically 4.5 times over the legal limit. Coroner Suzanne Greenway reported that Amy Winehouse “had consumed sufficient alcohol at 416 mg per decilitre (of blood) and the unintended consequence of such potentially fatal levels was her sudden and unexpected death.”
Amy....(Oh Amy, Amy.....damn...like so many other 'meteorite-personalities' that burn out so quickly......we are thankful for your gifts to us, but the loss seems to be in what could have been.....Though perhaps like Vincent, you could only give us your incredible gifts for a short time and then you are used up.....)
Amy Winehouse. Her first album Frank has been a constant in my life. I was so genuinely upset when she died, it still saddens me. Watching her demise was heartbreaking, such a beautiful, sassy and talented girl. R.I.P.
