We loved with a love that was more than a love...Tragic ending of love. Isn't it just like a human to blame heaven for something that occurs naturally to all mankind? I have done it, too. Silly humans. Beautiful love.
Annabel Lee - Edgar Allen Poe. So many love Poe's poetry, but I never have. Two of the first several lines here have a word that is both unnecessary to the sentence, and more harmful to the meter than the removal of the word. Then there is just the stultifying manner which disrupts the song periodically as consonants and vowels are poorly set in the lines. Poe should have stuck with nightmare short stories. It is there where his genius lied.
