Anne Rice on the Vampire Chronicles - Milwaukee horror movies | Examiner.com

Queen of the damned, The vampire Lestat, Interview with a vampire, The tale of the body thief

The Feast of All Saints - Anne Rice. A historical rather than supernatural novel. Set in New Orleans in the 1800s within the Free People of Color culture.

In my humble opinion, its the best series Anne Rice has written and I have read almost all of them.

“Give me a man or woman who has read a thousand books and you give me an interesting companion. Give me a man or woman who has read perhaps three and you give me a very dangerous enemy indeed.” Anne Rice

This edition was my first Anne Rice book, bought with my Christmas money in Somerset, Kentucky late 1990. Yay.

all FABULOUS books, have finished with the Vampire Armand and Memnoch the Devil as well ... only 4 left for me to read in this particular series

Interview with a Vampire (1994). Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Antonio Banderas and Kirsten Dunst star in this wonderful movie based on the novel by Anne Rice. I also love Christian Slater in this movie. This movie is rich and sensual. Tom Cruise plays a horrifyingly cruel vampire.

Anne Rice. Read everything she ever wrote!

It has been years since I've read Anne Rice but she was always one of my favorite authors. Looking forward to reading this one!

Anne Rice New Orleans quote I absolutely agree. I feel completely at home in New Orleans...body and soul.

Anne Rice, my favourite author... Amazing woman :3

This is the story of Louis, as told in his own words, of his journey through mortal and immortal life. He recounts becoming a vampire at the hands of the radiant and sinister Lestat and how he became indoctrinated, unwillingly, into the vampire way of life.

Anne Rice: "I quit being a Christian. I’m out. It’s simply impossible for me to “belong” to this quarrelsome, hostile, disputatious & deservedly infamous group. My conscience will allow nothing else. In the name of Christ, I refuse to be anti-gay. I refuse to be anti-feminist. I refuse to be anti-artificial birth control. I refuse to be anti-Democrat. I refuse to be anti-secular humanism. I refuse to be anti-science. I refuse to be anti-life. In the name of Christ, I quit Christianity. Amen."

A great series - Anne Rice was writing about vampires before they were "in"
