Asian Studies Program (2002) Established in 1972, the Asian Studies Program today annually welcomes over 600 competitively selected students who represent about 40 countries and regions. The raison d’être of the program is to provide international students with a means of exploring Japan and Asian studies through classroom instruction and interaction with Japanese people.
Kansai Gaidai is located on Osaka, Japan. Kansai Gaidai offers one of the best opportunities for Asian Studies supports to study Japanese language and culture. There are a wide array of courses on Japanese arts, culture, society, business and international affairs, all taught in English! Students have the choice of living in the Student Residence Hall on campus but Home Stays are strongly encouraged.
The Five College Center for East Asian Studies is committed to promoting East Asian Studies at the Five Colleges and supports, encourages, and improves the teaching of East Asian cultures in elementary, middle, and secondary schools, and two- and four-year colleges in the Northeast.
