Orange and gold, curls of woodsmoke... Autumn is crisp and mellow, solemn and melancholy. And it's very, very welcome. | Photo: Harvesting persimmons, by my dear & talented friend Cinzia Carboni
North American autumn harvest - corn and squashes are native to the America (not apples or walnuts)
This is a beautiful idea for a wedding. A "snack" station/table just for nuts, apples, etc...
Before I became Wiccan I thought it was so weird to celebrate the harvest at a time when it had already long passed (Thanksgiving, in the snow, what?) so when I learned about the Lughnasadh - Mabon - Samhain trio it made SO MUCH more sense.
Autumn Harvest Salad with Roasted Squash, Brussels Sprouts, Caramelized Onions and topped with a sweet maple vinaigrette.
I just love the smell of fresh apples on a cool, crisp fall day! Just add some cinnamon and brown sugar and you've got some of the best scents in the world!
