BAKED Jalapeno Poppers stuffed with Cream Cheese

Baked Stuffed Jalapeños Are you a risk taker? I think one has to be a bit adventurous to eat jalapeños. You never know if biting into one is going to yield that wonderful flavor and kick that is the basis for so much of Southwestern food, or if that one little bite will pack such a fiery punch that you'll be running around the room mouth agape and tears in your eyes.

These jalapeno poppers are not hot. They are a mild pepper. You can add a little heat by leaving the seeds in or using a spicy sausage. This recipe is right down the middle so everyone can enjoy them. I like them best at room temp. #appetizers #poppers

I am baking these now. I used sharp cheddar in the boat of the jalapeno, then topped with a slice of salami cause I didn't want to brown some sausage. Wrapped bacon around and baked at 400 - they are GREAT!! Not too spicy. The jalapeno cooks up nicely. Bacon does crisp. Yum

Jalapeno Popper Chicken. This chicken combines the great things about poppers and puts them into a much lighter and less guilty chicken dish. Chicken breasts are stuffed with a cheesy jalapeño mixture and then rolled in crispy panko and baked, not fried!

Fried Jalapeno poppers. This calls for cheese sticks. I would cut up Pepper Jack cheese to add more zip and lay some cilantro leaves inside with the cheese. Wrapped in egg roll wraps and fried....brilliant. Then I would find a great cilantro/chili type dip...yum

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers - sooo good - Can also use the small sweet peppers

My mom made these for me yesterday. Delish - but she added added a twist by topping the cream cheese with pepper jack cheese before wrapping them in bacon. YUM. Also I recommend using a toothpick to secure the bacon otherwise it will start coming off as it cooks...
